 Admission Process of B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering

For the B. Tech admissions, AKTU has filled only 20% of its seats through the UPCET counseling process and 66% of the seats through direct admissions. Admission to the AKTU B. Tech program is  based on the UPCET entrance examination followed by the UPCET counseling Process.

  • Online Registration: Students are required to register for the entrance test by providing their credentials such as email address, mobile number, and password after which a login id will be generated.
  • Filling up of application form: After the creation of a login id, candidates have to fill up the online application form by giving their personal and academic information.
  • Uploading of documents: In this step, candidates must upload the necessary documents such as a photograph, signature, id proof, Class 10 and 12 certificates, etc.
  • Application Fee: On uploading the requisite documents, students will have to pay the mandatory amount of application fee online using Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.
  • Download Application Form: After paying the application fee, candidates have to save and download the form for future references.
  • Issuing of Admit Card: Based on the record of the details submitted by the students, the admission authority will issue the admit cards to the eligible students.
  • Entrance Exam: After getting the admit card, exam dates will be released by different conducting bodies. Candidates have to sit for the entrance test and qualify the same to get admission.
  • Declaration of Result: In the final stage, admission authorities will release the results of the entrance test they have appeared for.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Tech Computer Engineering

1        Students will be admitted in B. Tech first year after 10+2 schooling or equivalent qualification based on AKTU entrance ranking.

2        Students will be admitted in B. Tech second  year through Lateral Entry Scheme:

(a)    “Candidates who have passed 3/4 year Diploma (with minimum 60% marks) from institutions recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering/Technology except Agriculture Engineering are eligible for admission to Second year in any branch of Engineering./Technology except Agriculture Engineering”

(b)   “Candidates who have passed 3/4 year Diploma (with minimum 60% marks) from institutions recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in Agriculture Engineering are only eligible for admission to Second year of Agriculture Engineering”.

3        Candidates, who are in appearing in the final 10+2 examination, are also eligible to apply.

4        Direct admission on vacant seats at institution/college level: The eligibility criteria for direct admission on seats remaining vacant in first year after entrance examination counselling shall be such as may be notified from time to time.
